Quick Update

Hello cyberworld!

I have been busy! Between finals, reconnecting with old friends, spending QT with family and much needed time with Lucas, volunteering at CCK, attempting to get a job or shadowing position, and so much more... I haven't thought about nor took the time to update my blog lately.

Since it's been so long since I've posted, I'm going to name a few memorable things that I've experienced since the last time that I posted.

1. Catherine Stone's quote in the Class of 2011 Salutatorian speech: "Kill them with kindness." This is a quote which Elizabeth frequently said to her according to her speech and it was really inspiring to me. I've thought about it multiple times since hearing it. Kudos to both of them.

2. Granny Pearl, Charlie Sue, Petey the Pede, feces, bubbles, etc. Since I've been home I've came up with many new random names. I started calling Lucas or anyone who is moving slow Granny Pearl. I nicknamed Katelyn Charlie Sue, named 3 plastic centipedes Pete, Petey, and Peter. They're brothers. Also, everything my siblings and I do somehow has to relate to poo or pooting or belching. Those have been some fun experiences with my brothers and sisters. We had many nights I've laughed until my abs hurt. :) And to explain the bubbles, it has to do with Super Mario. That's all I need to say. If you've played it, you know what I'm talking about when I say bubbling.

3. Most "epic fail" moment: Since the water has been up at Barren River, we have had to use the paddle boat to get out to the dock at my aunt's. Whitney, Katelyn, Logan, and I went there to swim several weeks ago. We had dropped Katelyn and Logan off at the dock already and had went back to pick up my cousin who also came to swim. After we picked my cousin up, one of us decided that it might be easier to go up the inclined ramp that reminded me of the Titanic in the process of sinking. As we get close, Whitney stands up getting ready to get out and walk up the ramp. I'm also attempting to stand up to tie the paddle boat off. The next thing I know, Whitney is completely hanging out of the boat except for one leg yelling, "Help me! My leg's stuck!" and several other things. At the same time, I managed to fall over and I was straddling the boat with the better part of my body hanging out thinking the boat was gonna tip. At this point, my cousin was trying to get us forward so that Katelyn could help us and I was doing everything that I could to hold on to Whitney. In the end, the boat didn't tip. We didn't drown. I got the best laugh I had in a long time. And we had a horrific time getting up the incline even after all the  super dramatic stuff. An I'll-never-ever-forget moment. :)

That's all for now. I'll add more things later.
Toodles.
